Living as all the parts of you
There are many things I’ve lived through, experienced and done in my life. But something I have come to realize is that up to now I have only ever lived as a piece of who I truly am. Let me explain…..growing up I was the military school girl when none of my immediate relatives had ever been in the military or wanted to be; then I was the young married wife; the student glider pilot; single engine pilot; fatherless child; separated young wife; career seeking young adult; divorced woman; kung fu and tai chi instructor; massage technician; mainstream career woman; spiritual seeker; healer; intuitive; guide……well you get the idea. The truth to all of these things is that they were and ARE all a part of me. I have realized that I am not longer just ONE of these things I am all of them and it’s totally ok to step into all of those things, those personas and be authentically me.
So my message to you Love is that no matter what part, persona, or role you are playing, being and sharing today it is a part of you and I honor all parts of your spirit. You are ALL of those parts and the universe accepts you as you are, whole. So go freely and lovingly into the universe and share all the parts of you.

Choices
Choices are what our lives are really about. One choice made at a time led us to where we are today in our existence. Some people are really good at making choices, the choice to buy stock in Microsoft or Facebook......but how do they know when to make the choice or decision? What leads them to it? We all have that voice inside. You know the one that urges you forward through the fear knowing that you will do great once you're on the other side....
That's the voice of your intuition, your higher self. Some listen to it loud and clear and others are fearful of what it has to say and second guess themselves and have to "think things through first" when they should really go with their first thought.
Next time your are faced with a choice whether it's a small or large one, allow that voice to be heard loud and clear, don't let your mind get in the way and over think the situation. Allow your higher self, your intuitive voice to guide you on the right path. You will be amazed at how right you are about your choices.

Dealing with an anxious mind
As adults there are many things that can cause an anxious mind; your toddler has banged the pots in your kitchen one too many times, you seem at your wits end trying to understand why you are in yet another financial crisis, why when things were going so well something happens at work/home to stress you out. All of these situations can lead to feelings of an anxious mind.
In most cases as problem solving adults we try to immediately go into rationalization mode, i.e. what was the cause of the problem, why did it happen to me, what can I do about it, why do I feel so helpless, etc. The only way to truly handle an anxious mind is not to find the solution to the problem that caused it but to BE with that mind, feel it and embrace it. By being in that very moment your mind starts to race and allowing yourself to have those feelings rather than immediately trying to fix them your mind with quiet sooner. Then with a more quiet and calm mind your can face your issue.
Try this the next time your anxious mind seems to be controlling you.
EXERCISE:
Sit or stand with you feet firmly planted on the ground.
After taking a moment to really feel your feet on the ground breathe normally, inhale while counting to 10, then exhale while counting to ten.
Close your eyes and place your hands in your lap palms up. Inhale and exhale again while relaxing your shoulders.
Allow your body and mind to FEEL the anxiety starting with your feet and working its way to the top of your head. As the feeling moves up and eventually out of your body replace that feeling with gold, warm, beautiful light.
Continue to count as you breathe until you feel your mind quieting.
End with a deep long cleansing breath. Ahhhhhhh!
**If you’re stuck in traffic or otherwise can’t have your feet on the ground still do the breathing and visualization exercise with your eyes open of course.

How would you explain to a child what it means to be compassionate
Compassion by definition is "a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering".
When explaining anything to a child even if they are highly intelligent you want to leave out extremely abstract ideas and concepts. You have to make the material relatable to them by using familiar language and situations.
Children are still learning about themselves, so to have compassion for another being is a challenge. An example may be to ask; if you were a dog stuck in a cage alone, wouldn't you want someone to love and care for you and set you free; free you from your discomfort in that cage? Does it make you feel sad that the dog is stuck in that cage? That is compassion. If you help the dog get out so he can play, enjoy his life and find a home which is being compassionate.
It's not such a terrible thing to teach children compassion. Compassion does not equal weakness. It only means that they are able to think of other beings besides themselves and help them to end their suffering whatever it may be.

Well......Hello there!!!
It's been too long since I have written but like many before me and many after me life happens and my focus has been on other things.
But I will say that my understanding of what this life is, how I should continue to live it and the possibilities I have discovered over these last few months are really amazing and I know that I may not even be fully awake yet. However, I look forward to the moment that I am and thought I would share parts of my journey so far.
I am certain many of you have heard the phrase, "Life is what you make it." This life is really a dream and like in lucid dreams you have control of what you can do, see, say, experience, etc. The only thing that is holding you back is your imagination and self doubt. When faced with a difficult situation try to say to yourself that this is MY dream and in MY dream and I can do this......or change this......
Now take it a step further and view that challenge as a reflection of yourself. Like I've talked about before that people are just reflections of pieces of you. So accept that challenge as a lesson, embrace it and forgive it because truly you are embracing and forgiving yourself, then have fun with it!!! Change the dream, change your life!
Enjoy your day and make it a wonderful one :-)
