Energy Exchange

Is it me or does everyone have an odd feeling when shaking someone's hand?

Ok, so I was taught that when being introduced to a male whom you've never met that the female offers her hand first. I have always offered a firm handshake and can't stand dead fish handshakes. But really this is a bit beside the point.

Here's my dilemma, I find that the exchange of energy can be overwhelming sometimes and just odd at other times. During this time of year with work holiday parties, and family gatherings with loved ones, new friends and new acquaintances shaking hands, hugs and other personal space invaders are to be expected.

Something to remember while you greet all these folks is to say to yourself "You keep your energy and I'll keep mine". Whether you’re sensitive or not it can be draining. So keep a smile on your face and your energy to yourself. You will feel better at the end of the evening. Go mingle!
